In Astana the opening of innovation projects exhibition was held

/IRBIS, December 7, 2011/ - December 6 as part of the Innovation
Forum on the 20th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan, an
exhibition of innovative projects was opened, the press - service of
JSC "National Innovation Fund" reported.
It is noted that the exhibition presented the best innovative projects,
collected on behalf of the Head of State from all regions of
Kazakhstan. Before getting to the exhibition, projects went through
severe selection in the framework of Republican contest of
innovation projects - so, for two and a half months more than 500
applications were filed, that is one selected project accounted for
approximately 11 applications.
"Most of the selected projects - from the sphere of metallurgy
(18%), transport and energy (14%), medicine (10%), agriculture
and engineering (6%). Thus, in the field of metallurgy, which took
the largest number of projects (18%), scientists of KazNTU n.a.
Satpayev developed technology on smelting reduction of alloy
steels, which allows one to regulate and limit the process of
carbonization of the metal during high temperature metals recovery
by carbon. Tech traditional two-stage process with sintering and
blast furnace can now be replaced by a single-stage process of
reduction smelting of steel from ore to metal. The second highest
number of selected projects belongs to transport and energy
(14%)", - was said in a statement.
It is reported that the selected projects will be included in the
Register of innovative projects, which should become the likeness
of Industrialization map in innovation and will assume point
measures of state support.
However, it is noted that at the forum the President's Club of
Innovation held its first meeting.
"President's Club Innovation - a key measure of the Innovation
Forum. It was founded on behalf of the President. The organizer of
the club - JSC "National Innovation Fund" with the support of the
Ministry of Industry and Trade of RK. The first meeting was
attended by Prime Minister Karim Masimov, Deputy Prime Minister
Asset Issekeshev, Cabinet members, heads of national companies
and national holdings, foreign experts, innovators, scientists and
others", - was said in a statement.
"In discussion of the key issues of the Club both active and
potential foreign investors, representatives of domestic and foreign
companies, international experts and analysts in the field of science
and innovation, leading venture capital financiers will participate. All
of these actions, hope the developers of the concept of the Club, in
the final will eventually lead to the improvement of the national
innovation system of the republic and promote its integration into
global innovation. It will be possible to attract to the country new
high-tech, multinational corporations and investment", - was stated
in the message.
