Food prices in November 2011 compared with November 2010 increased by 10.2%

/IRBIS, December 1, 2011/ - Food prices in Kazakhstan in November 2011 compared with November 2010 increased by 10.2%, was indicated in the report released today by the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Statistics. It is reported that in November 2011 compared with the corresponding month in 2010 prices for cereals rose by 59.4%, fats and oils - by 12.7%, dairy products - by 9.5%, flour - by 8.7% and confectionery products - by 8.3%, pasta - 7.6%, coffee, tea and cocoa - 7.2%, alcoholic beverages - by 5.2%, bread - by 2.5%. Lower prices were noted for sugar - by 5.6%, fruits and vegetables - by 0.9%. The increase of prices for meat and meat products during this period was 22.5%. The price level for mutton was higher by 29.6%, horse meat - 20%, meat products - by 12.4%, pork - 11%, poultry - by 6.6%.
