Zhaikmunai LP intends to get full listing on LSE

/IRBIS, November 21, 2011/ - Zhaikmunai LP intends to get a full
listing in London, reported November 20 The Financial Times.
In the case of receiving a full listing Company's securities may be
included in basket of calculation of index FTSE 250.
It is reported that Frank Monstray, who owns a controlling 28%
stake in the company, said Zhaikmunai already fulfilled the
requirements for the free float, of candidates for inclusion in the
FTSE 250. 33% of Zhaikmunai shares are in the free float.
However, the shareholder acknowledged that the company will
increase the need to expand the number of independent directors.
Currently, the company has three independent members of the
Board of Directors of seven members.
Zhaikmunai asked the law firm White & Case on the
recommendations of a possible transition from the GDR to the full
listing in London. GDRs have been trading traded in London since
2008.
If successful, Zhaikmunai will join other local companies - ENRC
and Kazakhmys, traded in the main list of LSE.
