In Astana the first meeting of ministers of economies of the Council of collaboration of Turkic-speaking countries

/IRBIS, October 14, 2011/ - In Astana on October 13 in
anticipation of 11th Summit of Heads of Turkic-speaking states
the first meeting of the economies of the Cooperation Council of
Turkic speaking states was held, the press service of the
Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of
Kazakhstan reports.
As noted, the first meeting of economic ministers attended by
Ministers and Deputy Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
Azerbaijan, Kyrgyz Republic and Turkey. During the meeting
they discussed issues of improving the investment climate,
increase economic diversification, development of transport
corridors and business stated in the message.
"The close economic integration between nations contributes to
the creation of larger markets for domestic producers and
consumers, ensuring growth by reducing barriers to the
movement of goods and services, capital and labor," - was
stated in the message.
According to the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat
of the Cooperation Council of Turkic states Akyndzhy Khalil, the
first meeting of economic ministers of Turkic states will provide
an opportunity to discuss the prospects of economic relations
between countries and to develop common positions on the
further deepening of cooperation on the eve of this important
event, the report said.
At the same time, as noted, to support the economic integration
of Turkic-speaking countries, it's necessary to improve transport
links between the countries.
"The development of transport corridors will not only give a
significant boost to trade between countries, but also entail a
huge multiplier effect in terms of reducing the costs of goods
and services, growth in agriculture, engineering, mining sectors,
and many other sectors of the economy", - was noted at the
meeting.
Following the meeting, signed a communique of the first
meeting of economic ministers of the Cooperation Council of
Turkic speaking states was signed, the report said.
