/IRBIS, October 3, 2011/ - JSC BTA Bank's Subsidiary
organization BTA Securities (BTA Securities, Almaty) has
provided IRBIS with a survey of main events, forecasts and
investment ideas for October 3, 2011.
According to the report, analysts note that the premarket on
world markets is composed as follows:
- The beginning of the week to be hard for stocks of
Kazakhstani KASE. Today substantial losses for a number
of issuers are expected. In particular, financial and mining
sector will suffer. In this situation, the only trade idea is to
purchase Kazakhtelecom. In general, the value of KASE
may decline by 1.2 - 2%.
- Negative effect of Friday's sell-off in American markets
today reached the Asian stock markets. Quarterly Tankan
index showed that the bad feelings among Japanese
manufacturers remain. Nikkei went down today by 2.2%.
Coupled with pressures of the Greek factor indices in Asia
are affected by slowing consumer spending in the U.S.
due to an unexpected decline in first two years of income
of U.S. citizens. Hang Seng has fallen off by almost 5%,
while trading on the Shanghai Stock Exchange will not be
held during the week due to festive events in China.
- News that the new measures to reduce government
spending in Greece, somehow do not reach the target
preferences of European lenders have contributed to
further weakening of the single European currency.
Bogged down in problems of the country received a
reprieve from the "threesome" to meet the requirements
for the sixth tranche granted in the past year, the aid
package. Today Luxembourg will host a meeting of EU
finance ministers, on which the probability of default of
Greece and its possible consequences for the banking
systems of the region will be discussed. While the
euro/dollar declines by 0.4% and is trading at 1.333.
- The raw materials market continues to decline quotations
copper and crude oil. In the opinion of the experts
surveyed by Bloomberg production of "black gold" in the
countries of OPEC in September rose by 75 thousand
barrels to the maximum levels for three years - 30,055
million barrels per day. Brent futures are down 2% and
traded at $ 101.9 per barrel. The cost of copper in the
meantime reduced by more than 1%. Sales in the stock
markets stimulate buying of gold as a safety tool. The spot
price of the precious metal is settled at $ 1,631.9 an
ounce.
