In eight months of 2011 foreign currencies trades volume on KASE increased by 9.2 % and made up KZT10.3 trln ($70.7 bn)

/KASE, September 8, 11/ - In eight months of 2011 foreign currencies trades volume on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, made up KZT10,333.1 bn (USD70,738.3 m) and increased against the same period of 2010 by 9.2 % (10.1 % in USD). In comparison with the previous eight month period (May-December 2010) trades volume decreased by 13.0 % (12.3 % in USD). Tenge reinforced against dollar on weighted average exchange rate in the current year by 1.06 % APR. In initial eight months of 2011 revaluation rate of tenge to dollar in nominal value made up 0.71 %. In 2010 revaluation rate of tenge to dollar in nominal value made up 0.65 %.
