In July 2011 total amount of deposits of residents in deposit organizations of Kazakhstan increased by 4.1%

/IRBIS, September 7, 2011/ - The total volume of residents' deposits in
depository institutions in
July 2011 increased by 4.1% to KZT 8,507.3 billion (an increase from
the beginning of the year at 16.0%). Deposits of legal entities grew
by 4.9% to 6,008.8 billion, deposits of individuals grew by 2.4% to
2,498.6 bln.
In July 2011 the amount of foreign currency deposits rose by 5.1% to
2,649.9 billion tenge, in the national currency - increased by 3.7% to
5,857.5 bln. The share of deposits in tenge in July 2011 compared to
June 2011 slightly decreased and amounted to 68.9%.
Deposits in banks (including non-residents) rose for July 2011 by
2.3% to 2,536.9 billion (an increase from the beginning of the year at
12.8%). In the structure of deposits tenge deposits increased by
4.0% to 1,487.0 billion, deposits in foreign currency increased by
0.1% to 1,049.9 bln. As a result, the proportion of tenge deposits
increased from 57.7% to 58.6%.
In July 2011 the weighted average interest rate on tenge term
deposits of legal persons was 2.9% (in June 2011, 3.1%), while the
deposits of individuals - 7.6% (7.6%).
