/IRBIS, September 1, 2011/ - In the framework of SP FIIR JSC
"National company "KazMunaiGas" is working on a number of
projects of reconstruction and modernization of domestic refineries,
was announced in an interview with the Chairman of the Board of
JSC "National company "KMG" Kairgeldy Kabyldin, published today
in the newspaper "Kazakhstani Pravda".
As indicated, for the current period the average index of the
complexity of Kazakh oil refineries is - 4.67, lower than the average
value - 6.59, the average depth of processing is 68%, manufactured
products meet environmental standards Euro-2.
As a result of modernization, according to Chairman of the Board,
the index of the complexity of the world total will rise to 10.2, the
depth of oil processing - up to 90%, and the quality of motor fuels will
comply with Euro 5.
It is reported that at the Atyrau refinery two projects for the
construction of the production of aromatic hydrocarbons (Phase 1)
and integrated refining complex (Stage 2). Operation of the project
"Construction of the production of aromatic hydrocarbons" is
expected in December 2013. On a set of deep processing of oil, the
preparation of design - budget documentation, which will be
commissioned in the first half of 2015, according to K. Kabyldin.
According to Kairgeldy Kabyldin, the implementation of the Head of
State assigned the task of upgrading refineries will in 2016 fully
supply the domestic market with domestic high-quality petroleum
products.
"If in the past year, Kazakhstan imported high-octane gasoline and
jet fuel totaling more than 800 thousand tons, in 2016, we will close
the domestic demand completely and go out for export. That means
motorists will no longer experience the problems that we have now
with POL. Today about half the volume of gasoline and diesel fuel in
the country is produced by "KazMunaiGaz", the share of jet fuel is
40%, the share of the retail market of petroleum products - about
9%. Our main goal - to increase the share of the retail market to 30%
by 2016", said K. Kabyldin.
