/IRBIS, August 26, 2011/ - JSC BTA Bank's Subsidiary
organization BTA Securities (BTA Securities, Almaty) has
provided IRBIS with a survey of main events, forecasts and
investment ideas for August 26, 2011.
According to the report, analysts note that the premarket on
world markets is composed as follows:
- Despite the fact that U.S. markets closed in negative
territory, and Asia demonstrates a strong opposition between
bulls and bears, trading on the locale could end on a positive
note in the range of 0.7-2%. In the commodity markets costs
of oil and industrial metals have been rising, which supports
the stocks of domestic raw-materials producers. Caution
should be applied to stocks of Kazakhmys, but even if they
will move down, it will be not so significant. In general, the
players of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange have the opportunity
to play on the rise, as news from the U.S. will act only on the
end of trading on the KASE.
- In Asian markets today, there are mixed feelings. Nikkei
index in anticipation of events in the U.S. balance between
growth and losses, adds 0.2%. Members of the Japanese
market look onto the resignation of Prime Minister Naoto
Kan, who generally could not cope with the consequences of
the March earthquake, with optimism. Shanghai and Hang
Seng were in the red at 0.44% and 0.15% respectively,
despite good support from the banking sector issuers. Net
income of the Commercial Bank of China in the first half of
this year soared by 29%. These positive figures have led to
an increase in stock price by more than 3%.
- The euro/dollar is growing on the eve of the key events of
the day. All the market's attention will be focused on Fed
Chairman Bernanke's speech on the current situation in the
U.S. economy and possible measures to stimulate growth.
Everyone is concerned whether QE3 will take part. In
general, market participants divided in expectations. Some
actively speculating on this topic, while others believe that
scenario will not repeat last year in the form of various
circumstances. Anyway, what would have been signals that
the dynamics of the market will rise or abrupt fall. Stoke set
final data on U.S. GDP for the second quarter, the pace of
which, experts say, has slowed from earlier 1.3% to 1.1%.
Meanwhile, EUR/USD rate rose by 0.3% and is at 1.4425.
- The dominance of bullish sentiment was observed on
commodities market. Brent crude oil added 0.15%. Futures
of "black gold" are traded at $ 111.3 per barrel. The cost of
copper in Shanghai has grown since the beginning of the
session by 0.3%. Purchases of gold continued to decline
against Asian indices. The pressure on the precious metal
has the news that the CME Group in response to a
historically unprecedented increase above the $ 1,900
agreed to raise the marginal demand for gold trading, spot
price is now settled above $ 1,777 per ounce.
