/IRBIS, August 18, 2011/ - JSC BTA Bank's Subsidiary
organization BTA Securities (BTA Securities, Almaty) has
provided IRBIS with a survey of main events, forecasts and
investment ideas for August 18, 2011.
According to the report, analysts note that the premarket on
world markets is composed as follows:
- In general, external news background is somewhat negative.
The dynamics of today's trading is difficult to predict.
Commodity markets, particularly oil and metals, show a
positive trend. However, fears of slowing global economy
reduce the appetite of investors for risk. Nevertheless,
analysts of "BTA Securities" believe that today active buying
of KMG EP shares will take place. Banks can recover small
part of their positions, however, as it became common,
Kazkom can jump back for more than 3% after falling by
6.2% the previous day.
- Trading in Asia in the first four days is dominated by bearish
sentiment on the backdrop of concerns about the heated
global economy slowdown and the yen appreciation to the
highs of recent years. As a result of reduction of quotations
exporters such as Honda Motor and Sony, the Japanese
Nikkei index falls by almost 1%. The volume of exports of
Japan in July decreased by 3.3%, exceeding the
expectations of experts. Hang Seng index ranges, trying to
determine the future direction of the movement. Shanghai
down 0.7% in response to forecasts of slowing growth in
China's economy to below 9%. Pressure on Asian stock
market had a certain statement Fed officials about the
absence of the need for additional incentives.
- The euro/dollar today has slightly reduced. EUR/USD rate
dropped by 0.13% to 1.4407 on the eve of U.S. data on
inflation in July. Experts expect growth in the consumer price
index by 3.3%, with rates of base CPI may accelerate to
1.7%. The upward price movements will weaken the market
participants' expectations regarding the use of additional
incentives. One of the main mandates of the Federal
Reserve - to ensure price stability, and programs such as the
QE only heat the rising cost of commodities. Positive data on
the housing market is expected, but the number of initial
claims for unemployment benefits may increase.
- For three weeks stocks of copper on the London Metal
Exchange on a background of significant recharge in China
have been decreasing. Today, futures price of industrial
metal on the Shanghai Stock Exchange increased by 0.6%.
To $ 110.7 per barrel crude oil grew Brent, while under the
pressure of slowing growth prospects of the U.S. economy
and China - the two largest consumers of "black gold".
Investors continue to buy gold hedging their risks. Keep up
with them and the central banks of many countries,
increasing their gold reserves in the event of another
recession.
