In seven months of 2011 foreign currencies trades volume on KASE increased by 16.0 % and made up KZT8.9 trln ($61.0 bn)

/KASE, August 3, 11/ - In seven months of 2011 foreign currencies trades volume on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, made up KZT8,901.6 bn (USD60,979.4 m) and increased against the same period of 2010 by 16.0 % (17.1 % in USD). In comparison with the previous seven month period (June-December 2010) trades volume decreased by 17.9 % (17.1 % in USD). Tenge reinforced against dollar on weighted average exchange rate in the current year by 1.59 % APR. In initial seven months of 2011 revaluation rate of tenge to dollar in nominal value made up 0.92 %. In 2010 revaluation rate of tenge to dollar in nominal value made up 0.65 %.
