In five months of 2011 foreign currencies trades volume on KASE increased by 37.6 % and made up KZT6.7 trn ($46.2 bn)

/KASE, June 2, 11/ - In five months of 2011 foreign currencies trades volume on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, made up KZT6,745.7 bn (USD46,203.0 m) and increased against the same period of 2010 by 37.6 % (38.7 % in USD). In comparison with the previous five month period (August-December 2010) trades volume decreased by 16.5 % (15.7 % in USD). Tenge reinforced against dollar on weighted average exchange rate in the current year by 3.39 % APR. In initial five months of 2011 revaluation rate of tenge to dollar in nominal value made up 1.40 %. In 2010 revaluation rate of tenge to dollar in nominal value made up 0.65 %.
