According to CFS NBK, Kazakhstan net pension assets reached KZT 2,386.3 billion ($16.4 billion) as of May 1, 2011

/IRBIS, May 19, 2011/ - According to the data of the Committee on Regulation and Supervision of Financial Market and Financial Organizations of the National Bank (CFS NBK), the total amount of net pension assets (PA) in the republic (total pension assets excluding obligations on charged commission interests, creditors' debts on pension payments) as of May 1, 2011 reached KZT 2,386.3 billion. (equivalent of $16,396.1 million at the weighted average exchange rate effective on the mentioned date). Corresponding indicator as of April 1, 2011 is KZT 2,346.5 billion or $16,104.9 million. In April 2011 net assets of accumulative pension funds (APF) grew by 1.7% (by 1.8% in dollar terms) relative to the previous month. As of the beginning of May 2011, the total sum of pension assets made KZT 2,389.5 bln., of which KZT 2,346.7 bln. were invested. Total for April 2011 in the country were three specialized organizations engaged in investment management of pension assets (IMPA), and 12 of the APF. Nine funds - JSC "Accumulation Pension Fund of the People's Savings Bank of Kazakhstan", JSC "SPC" SAPF, JSC APF BTA Kazakhstan TO BTA Bank "JSC," SPF "Capital", JSC "SPC" Kazakhmys " JSC "OSPF" Otan ", JSC" SPC "Oil & Gas-Dem", JSC "SPC" Republic "and Eurasian APF managed their pension assets on their own. The share of the PA under management of those funds was at the beginning of May 2011 71.0% of the PA of the country (on April 1, 2011 - 74.4%). The following table shows the amount of assets of each fund (million KZT, unless otherwise indicated), as well as the distribution of assets of APF on IMPA on May 1, 2011. According to the volume of assets under management: on the first place - JSC APF National Savings Bank of Kazakhstan (33.0% of all the PA's control). On second place - JSC "SPC" UlarUmit (18.5%), on third place - JSC "SPC" SAPF (17.3%). The highest rate of growth of assets in April 2011 was characterized by JSC "SPC" UlarUmit "(43.5% in Tenge). In absolute monetary terms, by the greatest amount of growth of assets leads JSC APF UlarUmit (133,879.1 million tenge). On second place is - JSC APF National Savings Bank of Kazakhstan (24,574.5 million tenge), the third - JSC "SPC" SAPF (14,257.4 million tenge).
