REVIEW: KASE market of shares in April, 2011

/IRBIS, May 13, 2011/ - In April 2011 on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on shares in all sectors were recorded 953 transactions totaling $15,557.6 million KZT, or 107.1 million U.S. dollars at current exchange rates at the dates of transactions. The said amount is 20.0% of the monthly volume of transactions in corporate securities market KASE (in March 2011 - 71.9%) and 0.7% of the total exchange monthly turnover (2.7%). Recall that in March 2011 was recorded a sharp increase in trading volume in this sector, which was due to the placement of common shares of ALTIUS HOLDINGS INC. Recall, on March 18, 2011 in the trade system of KASE specialized trades on the sale of common shares CA02153E1007 (CA_ALHO) ALTIUS HOLDINGS INC (Calgary). Seller on the specialized trades was Centras Securities JSC (Almaty). The total amount of authorized and placed common shares of ALTIUS HOLDINGS INC was 182,644,452 pieces. The seller was going to realize the full specified amount of a single lot. In the auction was one member of KASE - broker-dealer organization, acting in the interests of his client - who has filed a request to purchase these shares at a price of KZT 410.71 per share. Following the auction seller satisfied this request. The deal amounted to 75,013,902,880.92 KZT (equivalent to 514,428,081.75 U.S. dollars). As a result of April 2011 at the KASE average daily price of 31% of items of stock increased (in March 2011 - 39%), decreased - 50% of names (52%), prices of 15% of shares have not changed (9%), 4% of shares was traded the first time. Maximum trends for the month were showed the following tools: AMGZp increased by 24.1%, TEBN fell by 37.5%. In March 2011 maximum trends were shown by TEBNp (+150.0%) and KKGB (-9.3%).
