Joint venture of "KazMunaiGaz" and "Gazprom" will become the operator of Imashev minefield

/IRBIS, April 28, 2011/ - The joint venture of "Gazprom" JCS and
"National company "Kazmunaigaz" JCS is assigned to be the operator of
the project on Imashev transboundary condensate field, RIA News
informs, linking to the message of "Gazprom".
As stated, the agreement was signed during the meeting of "Gazprom"
and "KazMunaiGaz" presidents Alexey Miller and Kayrgeldy Kabyldin;
The sides have discussed the current condition and perspectives of the
strategic cooperation in gas field. Special attention was paid to the issues
of realizing the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation on Imashev
minefield, - the message reports.
At the end of the meeting Miller and Kabyldin have signed the report on
realizing the intergovernmental agreement studying the Imashev
minefield.
Imashev transboundary condensate field is situated in the border of
Russian Astrakhan and Kazakhstani Atyrau regions. Its stock is
estimately 128.7 billion cubic metres of gas and 20.7 tons of gas
condensate.
Current stock of Kazakhstani natural gas is estimate 3.3 trillion cubic
meters.
In June, 2002 "Gazprom" and "Kazmunaigaz" have created and
registered the "KazRosGas" JCS joint venture, with the goal of gas buying
and marketing, procession in Russian plants and other activities.
In September, 2010 RF and Kazakhstan has signed the
intergovernmental agreement on collaborative stuffy of Imashev with the
following accounting of minerals amount. The agreement came into force
January 17, 2011. The attorneys on the realization are "Gazprom" and
"Kazmunaigaz".
