/IRBIS, March 16, 2011/ - In 2010 JSC Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan
reduced the proportion of non-performing loans overdue payment exceeding
30 days to 18%, about this today at a press conference in Almaty, said
Chairman of the Board of the Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan Mrs. Umut
Shayakhmetova.
"In 2010, the Bank's efforts were aimed at improving the quality of loan
portfolio, as evidenced by the declining share of non-performing loans
overdue payment exceeding 30 days to 18% at December 31, 2010 c 19% at
December 31, 2009," - she said.
Noted that under the program " Road Map of Business 2020" in three main
areas: support for new business - the initiatives, improvement of the
business sector, support for export-oriented industries at the end of 2010 in
the Halyk Bank received only 117 applications amounting to 68 billion 613
million KZT. In the first direction taken up for consideration - 37 applications
totaling 7,785 million KZT, the second - 67 applications totaling 46,402
million KZT, the third - 13 applications totaling 14,424 million KZT. The Bank
has approved 97 applications totaling 61,119 million KZT, the Ministry of
Economic Development and Trade approved 50 applications totaling 21,934
million KZT.
