Stock indices of emerging markets on Friday have finished the session
opposite changes in the backdrop of rising oil prices to 29-month high. Note
that the rally in the oil market was due to the resurgence of the tense situation
in Libya. Data on the U.S. labor market, published on Friday were positive. The
U.S. unemployment rate in February 2011 fell by 0.1 percentage points and
amounted to 8.9%. Analysts had expected that this figure will be 9.1%. In
addition, the Ministry of Labor reported that the number of jobs in
nonagricultural sectors of the economy, grew in February 2011 to 192
thousand, and is expected to increase by 183 thousand, however, these
positive messages on the one hand reassured investors, with another - raised
fears that that the growth of wages and working conditions in the employment
market will be offset by rising energy prices.
