JSC (Almaty, IFH RESMI) provided IRBIS overview of major events
and their investment ideas and projections for February 16, 2011.
Analysts of IFH RESMI give attention to the following to the
important events in the markets:
- By the end of the trading session Tuesday trading on the Kazakhstan
Stock Exchange ended with a slight drop in the index. Value of the
local benchmark fell by 0.02% and amounted to 1 888.76 points. In
the secondary market of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange were signed
44 deals with shares worth 106.5 million KZT, for KZT 25.1 million
more than in the previous trading day. The only representative of the
"green area" were the People's Bank and the company KMG
Exploration and Production, whose shares rose 3.0% and 2.4%
respectively. The banking sector in the face of Kazkommertsbank
and Bank CenterCredit closed at the "red area". Equities Data issuers
fell by 3.2% and 0.2% respectively. Steel companies ENRC Plc and
Kazakhmys Plc 2.9% and 0.2% respectively. Price shares
Kazakhtelecom remained unchanged. Tuesday, February 15, trades
in GDRs and shares of Kazakh companies were in a negative way.
KKB LI (-4.3%), HSBK LI (-3.0%), ENRC LN (-1.5%), KAZ LN (-
2.6%), KMG LI (-0.1%). Today for the Kazakhstan stock market
develops moderately negative external background. Analysts IFD
"RESMI" believe that decline KASE index closes at the end of the
trading session.
- Tuesday, February 15 at the U.S. stock market is trading downward
dynamics. Investors prefer to dispose of assets against the backdrop
of negative statistics on retail sales for January. As part of the Dow
Jones company Exxon Mobil, Boeing and Alcoa were the main
outsiders bidding. Quotes of issuers of securities data fell by 2.3%,
1.2% and 1.1% respectively. Barometer of the U.S. economy, the
Dow Jones fell by 41.55 points (-0.34%) and amounted to 12,226.64
points. S & P 500 showed similar dynamics, down to 4.31 items (-
0.32%) and amounted to a 328.01 point. The British FTSE 100 fell by
23.01 point (-0.38%) and amounted to 6 037.08 points. Today in the
U.S. is expected to yield a report on the level of consumer
confidence, prepared by ABC.
- Trading on the commodity markets were in a mixed way. Grid
precious metals closed growth against a background of rising inflation
in China. Gold rose in price by 1.1%, with the price fixed at $ 373.1
an ounce. Silver, platinum and palladium gained 2.0%, 0.8% and
1.7% respectively. Agricultural commodities such as corn and wheat
prices have shown a decrease by 0.8% and 3.6% respectively. Brent
crude oil price level fixed at $ 101.3 per barrel, or 1.1% higher than
the previous trading day. Course currency pair euro/dollar was 1 euro
1.3527.

institution in Kazakhstan. Analysts see the growth of the bank's
shares up to KZT409 per share;
- Shares of Bank CenterCredit in the long term analysts IFD
"RESMI" about the outlook for growth in securities of the bank to
the level of 1.230 m.;
- Stocks of Kazakhtelecom are looking most attractive for
investment in the long term. Analysts IFD "RESMI" recommend
buying simple shareholders of the issuer.
- The updated target price of shares of JSC Exploration
Production KMG is KZT24.895 per share.
