/IRBIS, February 4, 2011/ - JSC BTA Bank's Subsidiary organization BTA
Securities (BTA Securities, Almaty) has provided IRBIS with a survey of
main events, Forecasts and Investment ideas for February 4, 2011.
According to the report, analysts note that the premarket on world
markets is composed as follows:
- The domestic market of today is likely to abstain from purchases of raw
paper on the background of uncertainty about the future price of oil and
metals. In this regard, the shares of the banking sector and
KazakhTelecom more attractive to game improvement.
- The Asian markets are now showing a positive trend. While China's
markets will have a rest, Nikkei is growing at 1.1% on positive corporate
accounts and transactions M & A. Largest steel maker Nippon Steel and
rival Sumitomo Metal Industries announced a merger that led to an
increase in stock prices of both companies by more than 9%.
- Today, the euro/dollar is at yesterday's close in anticipation of release of
data on the U.S. labor market where unemployment is projected at 9.5%
and the numbers of jobs in non-agricultural sectors have to increase by
150 thousand in a generally positive statistics on the U.S. economy
recently demonstrated improvement, with the exception of inflation. So,
maybe today, data will be favorable for the dollar, which would entail the
movement of the pair below 1.36. If data will be worse than expected, then
the pair may again be in the range of 1.37-1.373. In Brussels, will start a
European summit to discuss solutions regarding the stabilization of the
situation in the Euro zone.
- The raw material market growth resumed after yesterday's mild correction.
Copper in New York is growing at 0.14%. The idea for the rising cost of
copper is still pessimistic forecasts about the deficit in 2011. However, low
demand at a price close to 10,000 per ton does not give quotes to move.
Futures contracts for delivery of Brent crude added 0.5% in the Asian
session, after U.S. data on unemployment, retail sales and the ISM
Services supported the players' optimism about a recovery in demand in
the U.S.
- Today, the fate of trading in Europe and the U.S. will be determined by
statistics of the U.S. labor market. According to the forecasts of economists
in January, the number of new jobs in the nonagricultural sector of the U.S.
economy amounted to 146 thousand, which is higher than the values of the
previous month to 33 thousand private-sector employment rose by 145
thousand unemployment rate probably rose to 9.5 from 9.4% a month
earlier. According to BTA Securities Positive data can play against a
market that is already beginning to get used to the idea of a weaker dollar.
