BTA Securities (BTA Securities, Almaty) has provided IRBIS with a survey
of main events, Forecasts and Investment ideas for January 19, 2011.
According to the report, analysts note that the premarket on world
markets is composed as follows:
- Asian stock market today, raises in response to growing speculation that
tomorrow's data of China's GDP likely to show real growth of over 9%, giving a
serious argument in favor of the increase in rates and MRI to fight inflation
does not weaken economic growth. Hang-Seng today adds almost 1%, Shanghai
Composite rising more than 1%.
- The euro/dollar is now trading above $ 1.345, extending yesterday's rally. The
dollar weakened today on expectations that the U.S. statistics on unemployment
and new building projects today confirms the weakness of the real estate market
and the labor market, supporting thus the policy of low interest rates the Fed.
- Quotes commodities today are growing weaker pace. Copper prices in Shanghai
are growing at 0.44%, probably on the optimistic regarding the outcome of
China's GDP growth in 2010. Brent crude is trading at levels higher than $ 97.8
per barrel. which is slightly above yesterday's close. Constrains quotations
Opinion of the International Energy Agency that U.S. crude stocks are at
comfortable levels.
- Trading in Europe today is likely to be held in positive territory on the mood
of Asia. A weaker dollar will support growth of quotations of metals in London
and the growth of shares of mining companies. Good impression of the strong
statements of European and American companies will support the optimism.
- Trends in the U.S. market will be determined partly by statistics on new
buildings and unemployment. Other key events of the day will be the reports of
the leading banks Goldman Sachs and Wells Fargo. After the close of trading on
the eve of reported IBM and Apple. Net earnings per share, both companies have
significantly exceeded market expectations and share prices of issuers in
electronic trading rose. The opening bid in the U.S., is likely to be in
positive territory.
- For the domestic market of the external news background today is positive.
Analysts of BTA Securities do not rule out raising stock price of Kazakhmys and
ENRC. Positive sentiment in the markets will keep players' interest in
undervalued stocks. Add in the price can Kazakhtelecom, as well as shares of the
banking sector.
