Exchange (KASE) has formed groups of liquid and illiquid shares out of those
listing on KASE for Y2011 Q1. The groups were formed to apply norms of KASE
internal document "Regulations of Trades and Confirmation System Operation"
(Regulations) to shares therein.
In accordance with the Regulations, beginning from January 1, 2010 KASE holds
trading in illiquid shares on business days from 15:00 to 17:00 Almaty time,
trading in liquid shares - from 11:30 to 17:00 Almaty time. Uninterrupted
counter-directed share trading will be switched to standby-mode in case of
marching and crossing of bids and asks with price of a proposed deal deviating
from the last transaction price of such shares 10 % in liquid shares and 5 % in
illiquid shares.
To form these lists in accordance with the Methodology of Securities Liquidity
Indicator Defining (the Methodology):
- shares liquidity indicators have been calculated for the period from June 1,
2010 to August 31, 2010 and from September 1, 2010 to November 30, 2010;
- by the KASE Managing Board decision of December 13, 2010 shares liquidity
indicator threshold value was set at 0.6.
The liquid share list includes shares, liquidity values of which for both
periods equal or exceed the threshold value.
In addition, in accordance with the Methodology item 16 by the KASE Managing
Board decision have been recognized as liquid common shares KZ1C24120012
(KASE official list, second category, BSUL) of Bayan Sulu (Kostanai).
In compliance with the Methodology liquid and illiquid shares lists are revised
quarterly. Below are liquid and illiquid shares lists effective during the first
