BTA Bank (Kazakhstan) management praised by Expert RA Kazakhstan for successful restructuring

/KASE, November 23, 10/ - BTA Bank (Almaty), whose common shares have been admitted to circulation on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) as unlisted securities, provided to KASE the following press-release on November 23, 2010: quote Rating agency Expert RA Kazakhstan acknowledged BTA Bank top management's success in debt restructuring by honoring it with "For successful restructuring" award during praising ceremony for "Expert-100-Kazakhstan" nominees. The ceremony was held on November 18, 2010 in Astana within the 2nd Economic Forum "Expert-100-Kazakhstan". According to I. Nuzhdin, General Director of Expert RA Kazakhstan, selection criteria "For successful restructuring" were fairly simple. "We think, that BTA Bank top management has done a serious restructuring job. There were no processes of that magnitude in the crisis-stricken CIS. This is a unique event for Kazakhstan economy, so we have decided to award this prize to BTA Bank management. Head of Expert RA Kazakhstan stressed that the prize "For successful restructuring" is being awarded for the first time as one of five individual rating nominations, whose composition changes from year to year. BTA Bank management's award has become one of eight nominations; experts have chosen the "largest company rated" (Tengizchevroil), as well as largest "market cap company" (ENRC Plc) and "IT companies" (NAT Kazakhstan). Also, "the most active M&A player" (KazMunaiGas EP), "the largest financial institution within the Accelerated Industrial-Innovative Development" (Development Bank of Kazakhstan) and "the most dynamic bank" (Subsidiary Bank Sberbank of Russia) have been named.
