According to AFS, Kazakhstan net pension assets reach KTZ2,129.6 billion ($14.4 billion) as of October 1, 2010

/IRBIS, October 22, 2010/ - According to the data of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Supervision of Financial Market and Financial Organizations (AFS), the total amount of net pension assets (PA) in the republic (total pension assets excluding obligations on charged commission interests, creditors' debts on pension payments) as of October 1, 2010 reached KTZ2,129.6 billion. (or equivalent of $14,431.1 million at the weighted average exchange rate effective on the mentioned date). Corresponding indicator as of September 1, 2010 is KTZ2,089.3 billion or $14,158.1 million. In September 2010 net assets of accumulative pension funds (APF) grew by 2.9% (by 1.9% in dollar terms) relative to the previous month. As of the beginning of October 2010, the total sum of pension assets made KZT2,129.8 bln., of which KZT2,098.6 bln. were invested. Total for September 2010 in the republic were three specialized organizations engaged in the investment management of pension assets (OOIUPA), and 13 NPF. Nine funds - JSC "Accumulation Pension Fund of the National Savings Bank of Kazakhstan", JSC "SPC" SAPF ", JSC NPF BTA Kazakhstan" TO JSC "BTA Bank", JSC "SPC" Capital ", JSC" SPC "Kazakhmys", JSC ONPF "Otan", JSC "SPC" Neftegaz-Dem ", JSC" SPC "Respublica" and JSC "Eurasian NPF" managed pension assets independently. The share of PA being managed by these funds was at the beginning of October 2010 74.2% of the PA of the Republic (on September 1, 2010 - 74.2%). The following table shows the amount of assets of each fund (million KZT, unless otherwise indicated), as well as the distribution of assets of NPF on OOIUPA on October 1, 2010. By the volume of the managed assets APF National Savings Bank of Kazakhstan JSC is still leading (31.3% of all PA in management). The second place belongs to APF SAPF JSC (16.5%), the third place- APF Ular Umit JSC (14.0%). The highest asset growth rate in September, 2010 was recorded in APF GRANTUM JSC (3.0% in KZT terms). In absolute monetary terms on the biggest amount of asset growth the leader is APF National Savings Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (growth by KZT13,369.4). The second place by this indicator belongs to APF SPF JSC (by KZT8,679.9) and the third place belongs to APF GRANTUM JSC (growth by KZT4,665.3).
