/IRBIS, October 1, 2010/ - In Kazakhstan, food prices increased by 6.5% in September 2010 compared with September 2009, indicated in the report issued by Agency for Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan for October 1, 2010. It is reported that in July 2010 compared with the corresponding months of 2009, sugar prices rose by 16,4%, coffee, tea and cocoa - by 12.7%, oils and fats - 10.9%, confectionery products - by 8.3%, dairy products - by 8.1%, a bakery and pastry products, Alcoholic beverages - 5%, fruits and vegetables - by 4.4%, cereals - by 2.1%. Decline in prices observed for flour at 13.7%, pasta - by 1.8%, bread - by 1.5%. The prices for meat and meat products during this period amounted to 10.9%. The price level on the lamb was higher at 9.4%, meat products - 8%, pork - by 7.6%, poultry - by 6,9%, horse meat - 4.1%.
