In seven months of 2010 foreign currencies trades volume on KASE increased by 48.3 % and made up KZT7.7 trn ($52.1 bn)

/KASE, August 5, 10/ - In seven months of 2010 foreign currencies trades volume on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, made up KZT7,672.0 bn (USD52,091.8 m) and increased against the same period of 2009 by 48.3 % (43.2 % in USD). In comparison with the previous seven months period (June-December 2009) trades volume increased by 31.3 % (33.9 % in USD). Tenge devalued against dollar on weighted average exchange rate in the current year by 0.90 % APR. In initial seven months of 2010 devaluation rate of tenge to dollar in nominal terms made up 0.52 %.
