familiarized with the implementation of projects of the transport industry in
Mangistau region, reports the presidential press service of the Ministry of
Transport and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As indicated, on 20 July 2010, Mr. Karim Masimov, Prime Minister of
Kazakhstan during his working trip to Mangystau region, familiarized himself
with the reconstruction of a motor road of local importance Kyzylsai - Shopan
Date - Oglandy. Reconstruction of this section is carried out through transfers
from the republican budget.
The same day Prime Minister visited the construction of the railway line Uzen -
the state border with Turkmenistan.
This line is part of the international railway project Uzen (Kazakhstan) -
Kyzylkiya - Bereket - Etrek (Turkmenistan) - Gorgan (Iran). The total length of
686 km, including on the territory of Kazakhstan is 146 km, Turkmenistan -
470 km, Iran - 70 km. On November 5, 2009 are working on dumping roadbed
construction and engineering of artificial structures. As of July 15, poured 91%
of the roadbed and completed installation of 64 culverts, collected 12 km rail
plans lattice and laid 11 km of the main road. At work involved 1500 people
and 700 units of technologies. Running trains is scheduled for December
2011.
Today, 21 July, Mr. Abelgazi Kussainov Minister of Transport and
Communications of Kazakhstan presented the Prime Minister a draft of
highways in Mangistau region. In particular, he spoke about the progress of
the reconstruction area Beineu - Aktau. This site is part of the highway Atyrau
- Aktau, which is part of one of the six major transit corridors "Astrakhan -
Atyrau - Aktau - border of Turkmenistan."
In 2006-2009, reconstructed and put into operation Atyrau - Beineu stretching
426 km. The length of the plot Beineu - Aktau is 470 km, of which in the
current year from the national budget began the reconstruction of 40 km. At
430 km section is currently being negotiated with the Asian Development
Bank (ADB). Given the international financial institution has also expressed
interest in financing the reconstruction of roads Beineu - Akzhigit - border with
Uzbekistan and Zhetibay - Zhanaozen - border with Turkmenistan. Thus, the
present total value of the investment program of reconstruction of the corridor
Atyrau - Aktau is estimated at 1.1 billion U.S. dollars, of which ADB is ready to
finance $ 800 million through many trenches mechanism in the form of loans.
In the afternoon, in the village Beineu with the participation of Heads of
Government held a workshop on the development and implementation of
railway project Beineu - Shalkar - Zhezkazgan.
At the conclusion of the visit is planned for Mangistau visit the Aktau
International Sea Port and the construction site of a bitumen plant.
