Stock indices in emerging markets on Tuesday have closed down in different
directions. The pressure exerted quarterly corporate reports, disappointed
investors. Net profit of IBM in the second quarter rose to $ 3.4 billion, or $

in the second quarter by 83% to $ 453 million in the bank itself explained this

to the Commission on the Securities and Exchange Commission. Net profit of
Johnson & Johnson for the quarter totaled $ 3.45 billion, or $ 1.23 per share,

Support was provided by the growth in Asian areas. Recall, that on July 20
Asian stock exchanges indexes were closed in the positive territory on a
background of speculation that the measures the Chinese government to cool
the situation in the housing market will soon be over. Analysts International
Strategy & Investment Group announced that China would "waste" of policy
tightening in the housing market within three months as the economy; more
likely, may face a slowdown, than to suffer from rising inflation.
Brazilian and Argentine markets were closed in the positive territory on the
background of growth in the U.S. market. Recall that the indices of U.S. stock
market, despite the negative background, were able to complete the session in
positive territory, largely due to speculations on the expectation of performance
heads the U.S. Federal Reserve Mr. Ben Bernanke before Congress this week.
Moreover, investors expect that the Senate of the Congress to expand the
program of unemployment benefits. Also supporting the indices in emerging
markets helped increase oil prices.
