Federal Customs Service of Russia has issued new rules for the movement of goods by people in the TS

/IRBIS, July 7, 2010/ - New rules for people moving goods for personal use
published the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
As indicated, these rules determined by the "Agreement on the order of
movement of natural persons articles for personal use through the customs
border of the customs union and the commission of customs operations
connected with their release" and act in all countries of the Customs Union of
Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
So in the calendar month to one consignee of a natural person in the customs
territory of the customs union, an IGO can send the goods, customs value not
exceeding the equivalent of 1,000 euros and the total weight does not exceed
31 kg.
If you exceed these standards provided for customs charges at a flat rate of
30% of customs value of goods, but not less than 4 euro per 1 kg of weight in
excess of the value of norm 1 000 euros and (or) weight of 31 kg.
It is indicated that the duty on the indivisible goods, regardless of the customs
value and weight collected in the form of aggregate of customs payment
Urns with ashes (ashes), the coffins with the bodies (remains) of the dead are
moved without payment of customs duties.
Goods prohibited to be transmitted in international mail
The agreement also identified a list of products for the personal use of
prohibited import and export from the customs union. In addition to the products
of this category to be transmitted to the MPO are prohibited:
- alcohol, ethyl alcohol, beer;
- any type of tobacco and smoking mixtures;
- any weapon (their parts), ammunition for them (in part), structurally similar
to civil and service weapons products;
- radioactive materials;
- cultural values;
- Goods are subject to rapid deterioration;
- Live animals except bees, leeches, silkworms;
- Plants in any form or condition, the seeds of plants;
- precious stones in any form and shape, natural diamonds, with the
exception of jewelry;
- narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, including in
the form of medicines;
- ozone-depleting substances;
- other goods prohibited to be transmitted in accordance with the acts of the
Universal Postal Union and the customs legislation of the customs union.
