In six months of 2010 foreign currencies trades volume on KASE increased by38.7 % and made up KZT6.2 trn ($42.1 bn)

/KASE, July 2, 10/ - In six months of 2010 foreign currencies trades volume on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, made up KZT6,201.7 bn (USD42,126.8 m) and increased against the same period of 2009 by 38.7 % (32.8 % in USD). In comparison with the previous six months period (July-December 2009) trades volume increased by 14.7 % (17.0 % in USD). Tenge devalued against dollar on weighted average exchange rate in the current year by 1.23 % APR. In initial six months of 2010 devaluation rate of tenge to dollar in nominal terms made up 0.61 %.
