Scope of activities of JSC "Kazakhstan Center for Public-Private Partnership

/IRBIS, July 1, 2010/ - Government Resolution # 621 of June 21, 2010
expanded the scope of activity of JSC "Kazakhstan Center for Public-Private
Partnership", reports today's press service of the Center of PPP.
As indicated, the main activity of the Kazakhstan Center for PPP were added
to such powers as: the examination of proposals for the concessionaire to
obtain sponsorship of the State; evaluation of the implementation of
concession projects, including co-financing provided from the budget and
economic examination of investment projects for the provision of government
guarantees, economic examination of budget investments to be implemented
through state participation in the authorized capital of legal entities from the
republican budget, monitoring and evaluation of budgetary investment
projects, monitoring and evaluation of budgetary investments through the
state's participation in the authorized capital of legal entities, monitoring of
concession projects on the condition of co-financing from the budget .
Thus, for today the activities of JSC Kazakhstan center of public-private
partnership are:
- Economic expert concession projects at all stages of their preparation
(including examination of proposals, feasibility studies, bidding documents,
bids potential concessionaires, concession contracts);
- examination of proposals for the concessionaire to obtain sponsorship of
the State;
- evaluation of the implementation of concession projects, including co-
financing provided from the budget;
- economic examination of budgetary investment projects;
- economic examination of budgetary investment projects for the provision of
government guarantees;
- economic examination of budgetary investments, to be implemented
through state participation in the authorized capital of legal entities from the
republican budget;
- monitoring and evaluation of budgetary investment projects;
- monitoring and evaluating the implementation of budgetary investments
through state participation in the authorized capital of legal entities;
- monitoring of concession projects on the condition of co-financing from the
budget;
- Prepare recommendations to State authorities to improve legislation and
methodological framework for public-private partnership;
- Organizing and conducting seminars, workshops, roundtables, conferences
and other events on public-private partnership.
