/REPETITION/ KASE DEFINES LIQUID AND ILLIQUID SHARES FOR Q3 2010 TO APPLY REGULATIONS ON TRADE AND CONFIRMATION SYSTEM OPERATION

/KASE, July 1, 10, repetition of the news of June 15, 10/ - Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) defined liquid and illiquid shares for Q3 2010. The distinction is made to apply norms of KASE internal document "Regulations on Trade and Confirmation System Operation" (the Regulations). In accordance with the Regulations beginning January 1, 2010 illiquid shares will be trading on KASE on business days 15:00 p.m. through 17:00 p.m. ALT, liquid shares - 11:30 a.m. through 17:00 p.m. ALT. Continuous counter-directed share trading will be switched to stand-by mode in case of matching or crossing of bids and asks, if the proposed transaction price differs from the last transaction price 10 % on liquid shares and 5 % on illiquid shares. To define groups of liquid and illiquid shares in accordance with the Methodology of determination of securities liquidity indictors (the Methodology): - share liquidity indicators were calculated for the periods December 1, 2009 through February 28, 2010 and March 1 through May 31, 2010; - KASE Management Board on June 14, 2010 set a threshold share liquidity value at 0.7. The list of liquid shares is composed of the shares with liquidity indicator for the two periods equal or exceeding the threshold value. In accordance with item 16 of the Methodology the KASE Board deemed liquid preferred shares KZ1P51460114 (KASE, third category, RDGZp) of Exploration Production KazMunaiGas. In accordance with the Methodology the lists of liquid and illiquid shares are revised quarterly. The lists of liquid and illiquid shares are below and will be effective through Q3 2010.
