British Government has announced record-setting cost reductions

/IRBIS, May 25, 2010/ - On May 24 Mr. George Osborne Chancellor of the
Exchequer has announced the reduction of budget expenditure items already in
the current fiscal year to 6.2 billion pounds, reports BBC.
According to Mr. G. Osborne, these painful measures needed for the return of
investor confidence in the British economy.
"We have asked for advice to the head of the Bank of England, which reveal
that the reduction in the budget for this year is vital to show the world that we
are able to live within our means - Mr. Osborne said, explaining the need for
budget cuts. - If you look at Europe and the world as a whole, then, just about
everything they say - how to reduce the national debt. "
According to Mr. G. Osborne, reductions will undergo many of the
computerization programs in several ministries, ministerial budgets in general,
and in the public service will be a moratorium on enrollment of new employees.
In particular, the Ministry of Transport will be deprived of this fiscal year, 683
million pounds, the budgets of local governments will lose 780 million pounds,
while the ministry of trade and business - 836 million pounds.
