Volume of construction of new homes 2010 increased by 5.8% in the U.S.A. in April

/IRBIS, May 19, 2010/ - The volume of construction of new homes in the
U.S.A. in April 2010 compared to the previous month increased by 5.8% - up
to 672,000 units. Such data are made on May 18 Tuesday, U.S. Department of
Commerce (US Department of Commerce).
The figure for April 2010 compared to the same month in 2009 increased by
40.9%.
In March 2010 the volume of construction of new homes in the U.S. amounted
to 635,000 units, but not 626,000 as previously reported.
The number of permits issued for construction of new homes in April this year,
compared with a revised index for March fell by 11.5% - up to 606,000 units.
Compared with April 2009 the number of permits for the construction of new
homes in April 2010 increased by 15.9%.
