In four months of 2010 foreign currencies trades volume on KASE increased by 4.6 % amd made up KZT3.9 trln ($26.2 bn)

/KASE, May 6, 10/ - In initial four months of 2010 foreign currencies trades volume on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, made up KZT3,868.2 bn (USD26,248.2 m) and increased against the same period of 2009 by 4.6 % (decreased 1.2 % in USD). In comparison with the previous four months period (September-December 2009) trades volume increased by 4.5 times (6.3 in USD). Tenge devalued against dollar on weighted average exchange rate in the current year by 4.10 % APR. In initial four months of 2010 devaluation rate of tenge to dollar in nominal terms made up 1.37 %.
