/IRBIS, April 30, 2010/ - Kazakhstan Company for Electricity Grid (KEGOC)
"and Russia's Federal Grid Company UES and System Operator UES have
signed an agreement on the parallel operation of electric power systems of
Kazakhstan and Russia, the press-service of JSC "KEGOC".
As indicated, in response to the request of Heads of Government of the
Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation in accordance with the
intergovernmental agreement of November 20, 2009 on measures to ensure
the parallel operation of unified power systems of Kazakhstan and Russia April
302010 treaties were signed between the JSC "KEGOC" and OJSC "FGC",
OJSC "UES of parallel operation of electric power systems of Kazakhstan and
Russian Federation between" KEGOC "JSC and JSC" FSK "for services to
transfer (movement) of electric power for power grids of the Republic of
Kazakhstan.
In addition, the agreement was signed between JSC "KEGOC" and JSC
"INTER RAO UES on purchase and sale of electricity to offset the hourly
volume variations that arise when you move the power across the border of the
Russian Federation and Republic of Kazakhstan.
Thus, stated in a communication, mutual services rendered by a single energy
system of the two countries move to a commercial basis. The Russian side will
carry a fee transfer / transit of electric energy to Kazakhstan networks.In turn,
JSC "KEGOC", as the system operator UES of Kazakhstan will pay to comply
with regulatory frequency.
At the end of 2009 JSC "KEGOC" and OAO "UES FGC entered into an
agreement on an hourly basis of calculating the amount of electricity
transported across the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian
Federation, the organization of daily exchange and harmonization of hourly
data records.
