/KASE, April 16, 10/ - After trading on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on
April 16, 2010 KASE Index dropped 19.72 bps (1.04 %) from 1,904.36 to
1,884.64.
The first deal fixed the index at 1,903.63. During the trade the index was the
highest at 1,903.63 and the lowest at 1,884.64.
The index traded value on April 16 grew against the previous trading day in KZT
terms 46.8 % and reached KZT78.2 m (USD534.0 th).

The KASE Index shows a change in prices of the index representative list stocks
for calculation of the index, with account to capitalization of such issuers and
a number of such stocks in free float. One stock's weight must not exceed 15 %.
The KASE Index is calculated during a trading day as deals in the representative
list stocks are concluded. If during a trading day no deals are made in a
representative list stock, then for purposes of such calculation results of the
last resultant trade session are used.
