/REPETITION/ KASE FORMS LISTS OF LIQUID AND ILLIQUID SHARES FOR Q2 2010 TO APPLY REGULATIONS ON TRADE AND CONFIRMATION SYSTEM OPERATION

/KASE, March 29, 10, March 19, 10 news repetition/ - Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) formed lists of liquid and illiquid shares listing on KASE to apply KASE internal document "Regulations on trade and confirmation system operation" (Regulations). Regulations say beginning January 1, 2010 illiquid shares will be trading on business days 15:00 p.m. through 17:00 p.m. Almaty time, liquid shares will be trading 11:30 a.m. through 17:00 p.m. Almaty time. Share uninterrupted counter- direct auction trade shall be switched to wait mode when bids and asks match or cross, when the proposed deal price differs from the last deal price in the shares 10 % on liquid shares and 5 % on illiquid shares. To build the lists in accordance with the Methodology for securities liquidity indicators (the Methodology): - Share liquidity parameters were calculated for periods September 1 through November 30, 2009 and December 1, 2009 through February 28, 2010; - The KASE Board on March 11, 2010 set a threshold liquidity value at 0.7. Liquid shares include stocks liquidity values for which for the two indicated periods are not less than the threshold value. In addition, in accordance with item 16 of the Methodology the KASE Board recognized as liquid common shares KZ1C34920013 ("Unlisted securities", BTAS) of BTA Bank.
