/KASE, January 15, 10/ - After share trading on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange
(KASE) on January 15, 2010 KASE Index grew 10.19 bps (0.5 %) from 1,937.53
to 1,947.72.
The first deal fixed the index at 1,944.00. During the trade the index highest
was 1,948.39, with lowest - 1,919.10.
The volume of deals in the index list stocks on January 15 grew against the
previous trading day in the KZT terms 2.1 times and reached KZT133.9 m
(USD904.5 th).

The KASE Index shows a change in prices of the index representative list stocks
for calculation of the index, with account to capitalization of such issuers and
a number of such stocks in free float. One stock's weight must not exceed 15 %.
The KASE Index is calculated during a trading day as deals in the representative
list stocks are concluded. If during a trading day no deals are made in a
representative list stock, then for purposes of such calculation results of the
last resultant trade session are used.
