/KASE, January 13, 10/ - After share trading on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange
(KASE) on January 13, 2010 KASE Index grew 9.04 bps (0.5 %) from 1,899.30
to 1,908.34.
The first deal fixed the index saw the index at 1,898.47. During the trade the
maximum index value reached 1,908.55, with the minimum - 1,880.08.
The volume of deals in the index list stocks on January 13 fell against the
previous trading day in the KZT terms by 4.5 times and reached KZT42.1 m
(USD284.4 th).

The last KASE Index value on any day is the last index value fixed on KASE on
this day.
The KASE Index shows a change in prices of the index representative list stocks
for calculation of the index, with account to capitalization of such issuers and
a number of such stocks in free float. One stock's weight must not exceed 15 %.
The KASE Index is calculated during a trading day as deals in the representative
list stocks are concluded. If during a trading day no deals are made in a
representative list stock, then for purposes of such calculation results of the
last resultant trade session are used.
