/KASE, December 9, 09/ - After trades on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE)
on December 9, 2009 KASE Index fell 45.34 bps (2.5 %) from 1,807.99 to
1,762.65.
The first deal fixed the index at 1,807.99. During the trade the index peaked at
1,810.04, with the minimum - 1,753.28.
Volume of deals in shares listed on the representative list on December 9 fell
against the previous trading day in KZT terms by 25.4 % and reached KZT43.9 m
(USD294.6 th).

The KASE Index shows a change in prices of the index representative list stocks
for calculation of the index, with account to capitalization of such issuers and
a number of such stocks in free float. One stock's weight must not exceed 15 %.
The KASE Index is calculated during a trading day as deals in the representative
list stocks are concluded. If during a trading day no deals are made in a
representative list stock, then for purposes of such calculation results of the
last resultant trade session are used.
