U.S. markets were closed in the red under the pressure of negative
information about bookmarks, the new housing in the United States in
September, which fell from 598 thousand to 590 thousand. Analysts
expected growth rate up to 610 thousand. Price index of Producer (PPI) in
the U.S. fell in September to 0.6%, while analysts expected a repetition of
the August values (an increase of 1.7%).
These corporate reports of U.S. companies indicate economic recovery.
DuPont quarterly profit rose by 11% to $ 409 million (45 cents per share),
with forecast expectations of 33 cents per share. Net profit of Coca-Cola
was $ 1.90 billion (81 cents per share), slightly above than market
expectations. Heavy equipment manufacturer Caterpillar reported on the
amount of net profit of $ 404 million (64 cents per share), analysts expected
6 cents per share.
European stock markets also declined under the pressure of American
statistics. Shares of Barclays fell sharply to 4.8% after reports that the
National Fund of Qatar will sell its shares. Shares of other financial
companies also fell: Paper HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland, Credit Agricole,
Natixis and Credit Suisse fell 0.2-2.8%.
Asian markets rose on Tuesday against the backdrop of growth in the
American sites, observed on Monday.
