/KASE, September 23, 09/ - According to shares trading on Kazakhstan Stock
Exchange (KASE) on September 21, 2009 KASE Index increased by 10.75
points (0.7 %) from 1,567.84 to 1,543.58.
The first deal fixed the index at 1,569.95. During trades the maximum index value
made up 1,584.75, the minimum - 1,548.54.
Volume of deals in shares listed on the representative list on September 23
increased against the previous trading day in KZT by 19.5% and made up KZT
109.5 m (USD 725.5 th.).

The KASE Index shows a change in prices of the index representative list stocks
for calculation of the index, with account to capitalization of such issuers
and a number of such stocks in free float. One stock's ratio must not exceed
15 %. KASE Index is calculated during a trading day as deals in representative
list stocks are concluded. If during a trading day no deals are made in a
representative list stock, then for purposes of such calculation results of the
last resultant trade session are used.
