/IRBIS, Dinara Mukasheva, September 21, 09/ - Agency of Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Supervision of Financial Market and Financial Organizations (AFS) in its regulating press-release, dedicated to state of financial market and financial organizations of the republic, have characterized the banking sector of Kazakhstan as at September 1, 2009. As at September 1, 2009, according to AFS, the banking sector of the republic was represented by 37 second level banks. As of 01 September 2009, loans granted in foreign currency amounted to 60.1% of the total portfolio doomsday or 6,105.8 billion tenge. Assets denominated in foreign currencies amounted to 52.5% of total assets or 6,364.1 billion tenge. Liabilities denominated in foreign currencies amounted to 58.0% of total liabilities of STB or 7,474.9 billion tenge. Deposits denominated in foreign currencies amounted to 52.9% of total customer deposits (excluding deposits affiliates special purpose) or 3,082.6 billion tenge. The structure of credit portfolio of banks' share of standard loans amounted to 28.7%. suspicious - 44.0% . bad - 27.3% (the proportion of bad loans without BTA Bank "and JSC" Alliance Bank "in total loan portfolio is -- 8.2%). Loans by branches of the economy (excluding individuals) as of 01 September was 7,865.8 billion tenge . an increase for the month to 36.6 billion tenge. However, the structure of the economy, the share of loans by sectors were: construction - 27.2%, trade - 26.1%, non-productive sphere - 23.0%, industry - 15.3%, agriculture - 3.9%; transport - 3.0%; individual activities - 0.7%; Us - 0.8%. The share of highly liquid assets to total assets of banks amounted to 19.6%. For violation of banking legislation in August, banks had been rendered on 1 Written orders, 6 letters of commitment, 1 written warning. As of 01 September 2009 in the process of forced liquidation by a court there are 5 banks (JSC Currency-Transit Bank, JSC Nauryz Bank Kazakhstan, JSC Businessbank, JSC Kazpochtabank, JSC Komirbank). Resolution of the Board of the Agency # 205 of 28.08.2009, the public company "AL Hilal Bank" granted the status of bank holding company newly established JSC "Islamic Bank" AL Hilal".
