ATFBank (Kazakhstan) reported 2009 six months performance results

/KASE, September 18, 09/ - ATFBank (Almaty), securities of which are present in Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) official list, today provided to KASE the following press release: quotation start Financial indicators as of June 30, 2009 (th. KZT): Assets 1,071,015,471 Own capital 90,397,177 Income (loss) -2,027,486 The results show significant growth on assets - 4th among second tier banks (STB) of Kazakhstan. ATFBank continues timely fulfillment of obligations to external creditors. On May 8, 2009 the bank paid off the syndicated loan borrowed for 370 days within the Agreement on syndicated loan of April 28, 2008 to the amount of USD500 m. Partially the loan was refunded by the UniCredit Group. In 2009, the bank strengthened cooperation with international financial institutions. Thus, from May 22, 2009 was signed the credit agreement with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on two loans to the total amount of USD100 m for five years, including: - USD70 m to credit small and medium size businesses (SMB) with the maximum employees number of 249 people and sales volume up to USD6 m a year. The preference will be given to regional cities of Kazakhstan with the exception of Almaty and Astana. - USD30 m were used to issue loans to Kazakhstan production companies to invest to power saving projects in Kazakhstan. In initial six months of 2009 ATFBank showed the highest growth of deposits among STB of Kazakhstan. As of July 1, 09 individuals deposits made up KZT157,082,970.00 th (44%) and legal entities KZT314,520,902.00 th (11%). In addition, ATFBank is actively participates in the government program on SMB support and the mortgage refunding. In initial six months of 2009 ATFBank implemented co-refunding of the Damu program in the ratio of 50%:50%. Within the program third tranche Kazakhstan entrepreneurs received KZT20 bn at 12,5%, including KZT10 bn funded by ATFBank from own resources. ATFBank completed drawing of the third tranche within the Damu program one and a half month ahead of the schedule on May 14, 2009 and refunded during this period and provided loans to 314 clients. Within this program ATFBank works in all cities of the country and the majority of credits fall to Almaty and Astana. Thus, in Almaty were signed agreements with 94 clients to the amount of KZT8,7 bn, in Astana - 55 agreements to the amount of KZT3 bn. On the refunding program the bank has drawn both tranches of the National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna ahead of the schedule. The first tranche to the amount of KZT3 bn on May 4, 2009 to refund loans of 617 clients. Within hypothecary loans refunding program the bank refunded in Almaty 215 loans to the amount of KZT1.5 bn; in Astana - 175 loans to the amount of KZT666 m, and remaining funds in other regions of the country. The second tranche - KZT1.3 bn was drawn on August 3, 2009. During one month the bank refunded 325 loans to the amount of KZT1.3 bn. the refunding pool highest amount falls to Astana - 16%, Aktobe - 15%, Aktau - 14%, Almaty - 11% and Karaganda - 9%. However 176 clients were not able to refund their applications to the amount of KZT735 m due to the lack of allocated funds. As of July 1, 2009, ATFBank has 144 selling points, including 17 affiliates, 52 banking services provision centers for individuals and legal entities, 4 ATFBusiness offices and 71 retail centers. It should be noted that ATFBank introduced the new services provision model for individuals and SMB subjects. The main principle of the new model is provision of services by one bank manager - Relationship Manager (RM) - to clients on all basic banking products. Due to the operation of the "one window", the bank can satisfy clients demands increasing their trust and loyalty to the bank.
