National bank of Kazakhstan will decrease official rate of refinancing to 7.5 %

/IRBIS, 04.08.09/ - On August 3, 2009 in Almaty, the President Nursultan Nazarbaev has held working meeting concerning on financial sector of the country, is indicated in the message which published on an official web site of the President of Republic Kazakhstan http://www.akorda.kz. In the message it is specified that in the first half of the year 2009 in the country, tendency of easing of inflationary processes was observed, for the accounting period the rate of inflation has made 3.9 %, which is lower for 1.8 % on indicator of the similar period of 2008. "The national bank has continued practice of decrease in the official rate of refinancing which about the beginning of 2009 has decreased from 10.5 % to 8 %. In the near future the next decrease is planned to 7.5 %. It is expected, that it will make stabilizing impact on bank sector", - is specified in the message. "During conversation have been discussed results of tenge devaluation. Time has shown that the course has been chosen correctly and the corridor was also correct. The state has enough reserves to provide and keep this course. The president has declared that the second wave of devaluation will not be and we will provide in intermediate term prospect the functioning of this corridor", - the Chairman of National Bank of Republic Kazakhstan Mr.G.Marchenko has declared, whose words are resulted in the message.
