KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (Kazakhstan): management changes in production units

/KASE, June 3, 09/ - KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (Astana), a company listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), issued a statement: Quotation beginning There were some staff changes in production units of KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (EP KMG). Due to change of job Kairbek Eleusinov was released of position of director of Ozenmunaygas. The new director is Dovulbay Abilkhanov. The new director of Embamunaygas is Isturgan Baymukhanov, Bagitkali Biseken left the position. Besides in Kazgermunay (where EP KMG holds a 50 % share) Nurlan Utegenov became the first deputy general director, he was earlier a managing economy and finance directors of EP KMG. REFERENCE EP KMG is among three leading oil Kazakhstan-based companies. The company produced 11.95 m. tones of oil (240 th. barrels per day) in 2008, including Kazgermunay and CCEL (Karazhanbasmunay). Proved and possible deposits of EP KMG equaled 241 m. tones (1.8 bn. barrels) as at the end of 2008, and including dependent companies - over 2.1 bn. barrels. Shares of the company are listed on KASE, and global depository receipts are listed on LSE. During the IPO in September 2006 the Company raised over USD2 bn. Dovulbay Abilkhanov was the first deputy director of branch of Ozenmunaygas. He graduated from oil faculty of Kazakh polytechnic institute n.a V. Lenin in technology and complex mechanization of oil and gas deposits development. From July 2007 to July 2008 he headed Zhaikmunaygas. From 2000 to 2007 he worked in NGDU-2 PF UMG. He worked in KRUZ LLP, NGDU Uzenneft. He has been working in oil for over 29 years. Isturgan Baymukhanov was technical and general director, Chairman of Board in Kazgermunay. He graduated from Kazakh polytechnic institute n.a. V. Lenin in geology and exploration of oil and gas deposits. From 1991 to 2006 he worked in Arnaoil LLP, Kazmunaygas-Telf, Kazpromstavba. He earlier worked in Guriev oblispolkom and Gurievneftegasgeologia. Nurlan Utegenov worked in EP KMG from 2004 as executive economy and finance director, and managing economy and finance director. He received MBA in KIMEP and acquired large experience in oil and gas. Beginning 1998, he worked in Shlumberger, Dowell (Mexico), ZAO Kaztransoil.
