BTA Bank (Kazakhstan) opens new division Almaly

/KASE, May 29, 09/ - BTA Bank (Almaty), securities of which are present in
Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) official list, informed KASE that on May 29
in the business and administrative center of Almaty at 10A, Abai Ave., corner of
Furmanov Str it opens Almaly division.
The bank opens the new division to increase coverage of potential clients in the
downtown and provide services in more comfortable environment. The new
division venue will allow increasing its pass ability twice and will make up to
2000 companies and 5000 individuals per month.
As of May 22, 2009 BTA Bank has drawn KZT26.55 bn (875 borrowers), which
makes up 120.68% from allocated by the National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna
funds, within crisis management measures of the government to support small
and medium size businesses (SMB). Thus, Almaty affiliate of the bank has drawn
KZT 2.77 bn (24 projects), including refunding of 8 projects to the amount of
KZT0.28 bn and actually issued 16 projects to the amount of KZT1.38 bn.
Meanwhile the bank is the only bank in the country where clients can bring
partners and open their account free of charge as well as get connected to the
remote banking services system "BTA-Online" and "BTA client". At present 55 %
active clients use this service.
At present the bank has over 52 th. clients - SMB subjects, including in Almaty
affiliate - about 13 th. Almaty affiliate infrastructure consists of 38
affiliates, 1 twenty-four hour self-servicing zones, 167 cash dispensers, 65
terminal of serl- servicing Cash & Pay, 2 automatic exchange points.
From March 2, 2009, BTA Bank within the National Welfare Fund Samruk-
Kazyna government program on refunding of hypothecary loans for individuals,
Almaty affiliate issued 478 loans to the amount of KZT4.17 bn.
