/KASE, May 20, 09/ - KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (Astana), a company listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), issued a statement: Quotation beginning KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("EP KMG", "the Company") announces that pursuant to the Share Buy Back Program commenced on November 24, 2008, on May 19, 2009 the Company acquired 80,000 global depository receipts ("GDR") on London Stock Exchange at an average price USD17.9625 a GDR. Since the start of the Share Buy back Program, the Company has purchased in aggregate 5,286,697 GDRs and 100,656 common shares.
