Kaspi Bank (Kazakhstan) informs on preliminary results of disdbursement of funds within mortgage loans refinance program

/KASE, May 5, 09/ - Kaspi Bank (Almaty), a company listed on the Kazakhstan
Stock Exchange (KASE), provided KASE with a press release dated May 4, 2009:
Quotation beginning
Since the start of the refinance program kaspi bank received about one thousand
orders from current clients for a total of KZT3.5 bn. Kaspi bank was allotted
KZT3 bn. by Samruk-Kazyna to refinance mortgage loans.
As for today kaspi bank approved 615 mortgage orders for a total of KZT2 bn.
After the government had amended refinancing rules, consideration and approval
of orders require less time. As a result KZT3 bn. allotted to kaspi bank by
Samruk-Kazyna will be disbursed ahead of schedule agreed with the fund.
"We accepted for consideration over 1000 orders from borrowers from all over
Kazakhstan for a total of about KZT3.5 bn. At the time being about KZT2 bn. has
been refinanced. Average refinance loan is KZT3.5 m. worth, - kaspi bank
chairman Mikhail Lomtadze said. - We have suspended receipt of orders for
refinancing. As the demand is significant we are interested to proceed with the
state program".
