RG Brands (Kazakhstan) launches new production and logistic center Aksengir

/KASE, May 5, 09/ - RG Brands (Almaty), a company listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided KASE with a press release dated May 4, 2009: Quotation beginning Herewith we inform that on the basis of permit from Karasai region Akimat new production logistic center (PLC) of RG Brands was launched into operation in settlement Aksengir, Karasai region, Almaty oblast. It is crucial to complete three of four development stages before the end of first half of 2009 to drive the center to full capacity in 2011. New South RG Brands production and logistic center, giving 1000 jobs, - is a modern complex, established for manufacture of high quality food in line with international standards. Plants and workshops are located throughout an earlier unused 21 hectare area, with all required communications: highway and railway, power lines, effluent disposal lines and gas. It should be noted RG Brands launched North PLC Kosmis in Kostanai in 2006. South PLC Aksengir, as the project fully develops, will produce juice and nectar for Gracio, Da-Da, Nectar Solnechniy, with planned 10 filing lines; carbonated drinks and table water for PepsiCo (Pepsi-Cola, 7-Up, Mirinda, AquaFina) with 5 filling lines, tea-packing factory (trade mark Piala Gold) and snack plant (potato chips Grizzly). On the whole, new production lines of the PLC will allow for increasing capacities of RG Brands, and consolidating production and logistic operations in one place, drastically improving productivity and final production quality control. Since the main ingredient of production is prepared and safe water, three 303 meter deep beam wells with 9 levels of refining and preparation of water for food production have been installed at the center area ensuring stable water quality. The production center pays supreme attention to safety. Surveillance system installed throughout the center ensures day-night control of center area and production process. Each production stage is recorded by devices with maximum accuracy. In addition, it is every five minutes that production is tested in a laboratory according to new global standards. South PLC Aksengir is an example of innovative approach to planning and designing of testing production complexes and fitted with new generation equipment from TetraPak, Krones, KHS, Sidel, Van Der Mollen, Berkefeld, which are global leaders in development of high technologies in beverage production and guarantee of quality and safety of food. An essential part of the project is a logistic complex: multilevel storehouse with automated control for 40,000 pallets, two platforms for simultaneous reception of 20 carriages and double railway siding track connected with the national railway. Besides, a significant infrastructural solution was a highly effective 98 % performance factor gas trigeneration system (at usual method 60 % of emissions get into atmosphere), boosting 6 Mega Watt, and supply of heat, steam and technical chill. A good example of optimization of used resources may be a cooling recirculation system with technical water multiply turning round cooling installations (at usual method 60 % water is spent for cooling). June through August 2009 within the third stage of center development it is planed to transport, install and launch equipment from current production sites of RG Brands, located in Almaty. Transportation and launch of modernized tea- packing factories and snack production within the South PLC Aksengir project are scheduled for 2011. In parallel with launch of South PLC Aksengir: - A city waste line problem is being solved urgently in contact with Karasai Akimat. The waste line is connected with an offset from the South center of RG Brands. According to local services the problem of emergency conditioned waste line will be solved within 10 days; RG Brands will render financial aid; - Almaty branch of the company is preparing to use additional areas and necessary infrastructure for further business development within the mega polis.
